Bacon Wrapped Hot Dog

Why should burgers have all the bacon fun? This bacon wrapped hot dog creation lets both the hot dog and bacon shine. The toppings add some bright flavor, leading to a well-rounded culinary creation.

Ingredients

  • 1 Vienna Beef hot dog
  • 1 Slice thick cut bacon
  • 2 Toothpicks

  • For the Assembled Hot Dog

  • 1 S. Rosen’s Plain Hot Dog Buns
  • Diced green onions
  • Pickled jalapenos
  • Yellow mustard

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wrap the hot dog with thick sliced bacon and secure each end with the toothpicks. Cook the wrapped hot dogs in the oven until the reach desired bacon doneness (it took about 30 minutes of roasting) and the bacon has formed to the hot dog. Remove the toothpicks before assembly.
  2. To assemble: Place cooked hot dog in bun, top with jalapenos, yellow mustard and green onions.
