Cranberry Salsa with Cocktail Rye

Ingredients

  • 1 14oz can of whole berry cranberry sauce (not jellied)
  • 1/4 cup green onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño pepper
  • 1 8oz package whipped cream cheese
  • 1.5 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  1. Empty your can of cranberry sauce into a large bowl.
  2. Dice up the green onion, cilantro, and jalapeño pepper very fine, and add to your bowl with the cranberry sauce.
  3. Add lemon juice to the mixture in the bowl.
  4. Mix everything together well, and set aside.
  5. Place the cream cheese on a serving platter or serving dish, and spread out as evenly as possible.
  6. Add your cranberry "salsa" mixture on top of the cream cheese, and spread out evenly.
  7. Serve with S. Rosen's Cocktail Rye, and enjoy!
