The Rachel Sandwich

Corned beef not your thing? No need to worry. With the Rachel sandwich, simply swap out corned beef for turkey, and you've got yourself a whole new delicious sandwich.

  • 2 slices S. Rosen's Seeded Rye Bread
  • Roast turkey, sliced
  • 1 Tblsp Thousand Island dressing
  • 2 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 Tblsp butter


  1. Spread dressing over each slice of bread.  Top with cheese, sauerkraut, and sliced turkey.  Place remaining bread slice on top.
  2. Spread 1/2 Tblsp of butter over the top slice of bread.  Place the sandwich, butter side down, in skillet.  Cook uncovered on low heat for about ten minutes, or until golden brown. 
  3. Flip sandwich and spread remaining butter on the other slice of bread.  Cook until golden brown.
